Hookwire

The disposable hookwire electrodes are used for intraoperative neuromonitoring, more precisely for recording electrophysiological signals. The recording wire has a minimal diameter for the best comfort of the patient, making it particularly suitable for dynamic EMG analysis. After the electrode wire is inserted into desired depth the hypodermic needle is withdrawn, leaving the flexible electrode’s wire securely fixed in the muscle.

The hookwire electrode consists of 40cm PTFE insulated stainless steel wire threaded through a hypodermic needle. The needle is 13mm in length and has 0,45mm in diameter(26G). The end of the wire is positioned so 3mm of wire exits the end of needle and is bent at 180 degrees angle from the needle. The other end of the lead wire terminates with standard 1.5 mm touchproof connector DIN 42802.
